THE ROCKPINS - Wedding Entertainment & Party Band are an established 3 to 4 piece professional band based in London / Kent.Formed in 2005 we have vast experience entertaining at weddings, corporate events and private functions. We perform throughout London, Kent, Essex, Surrey, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire & across the UK. All the guys in the band sing, with Matt taking care of lead vocals and bass guitar. Jon is the lead / rhythm guitarist / backing vocalist, and Nick is our drummer, also taking care of backing vocals. Because all members of the band sing and play instruments, we producing the maximum capability of a 3 piece band (which many bands can only produce in a 4-5 piece band. We play a wide range of party music from 60's classic pop and rock, to present day rock / pop and indie hits, as well as some cheese; perfect for your wedding reception / party / corporate event. Technical: We use a high end powerful PA system (Allen & Heath mixing desk, 2 x FBT Himaxx 60A tops and 2 x FBT 100SA subs) and a range of dance floor / stage lighting / lasers to produce the perfect party atmosphere. We also offer optional free DJ / recorded music through all the breaks which can use either your own playlists through your Ipod etc, or we can provide playlists through our computer.
One of the things we think separates us from a lot of working bands is our musicianship and our diverse setlist. Matt and Jon are trained singers and Jon is a music graduate, specialising in guitar performance. The whole band have played in all sorts of groups, ranging from rock acts, through choirs, musical theatre, duos and jazz bands, to funk and soul bands.
Because we’re all flexible musicians we’re able to cover a wide range of music, but at the same time we manage to maintain a sense of continuity in our sets and are focused on rock and pop music – it’s what we all love! We get a kick out of playing together and genuinely enjoy all of our gigs, particularly weddings.
